Sibabalwe Mona

Founder and Chief Strategist

Hi! I’m Sibabalwe and I am a South African social enterprise strategist living in New York City. I’m driven by a passion for remedying unjust global economic systems towards African socio-economic development. I’m inspired by the innovative contributions and cultural impact of Africans globally.

I'm a storyteller for systemic change. As a strategy consultant for social enterprises that focus on the development of Africa and its diaspora, my diverse experience includes strategic ideation and development, project management, communications, and event production.

I’m a scholar of Africa’s past, present, and future in the international political economy. While the continent and its people are no monolith, my work is shaped by Pan-African ideologies of global solidarity. I attended the prestigious University of Cape Town before attaining an MA in International Affairs and an MS in Nonprofit Management at The New School, where I was a 2018 Impact Entrepreneurship Initiative Fellow.

I believe in the power of multi-stakeholder, collaborative, community-driven actions in creating global systemic change. Let’s link and co-envision a new Africa.
